Active membership is available for the Society are physicians, scientists, and educators, primarily engaged in teaching, research, and service in academic laboratory medicine. Membership dues ($150) are for a calendar year.

Associate membership (without dues, non-voting, annually-reviewed) is available for up to 5 years to those in graduate or postgraduate training programs. Members are elected according to procedures described in the ACLPS bylaws.
